Just to the west of Bideford is the Affinity centre formerly the Atlantic coast village with a wide selection of shopping outlets.

Barnstaple the ancient borough and administrative centre for North Devon is some 9 miles to the east from where there is access onto the A361 North Devon Link Rd which connects directly through to junction 27 on the M5 motorway to the east side of Tiverton from where there is also the Parkway Rail station, where journey times to London/Paddington are approximately two hours.
