Knowle is a lovely village surrounded by typical Devon countryside and is about 1 mile from the large village of Braunton. The cottage stands on the Winsham Road, so a very short walk from the renowned pub/ restaurant, The Ebrington Arms. The village also has a garage/shop/Post Office.
Within a short drive are the excellent beaches at Croyde and Saunton, where there is also the Golf Club with it's 2 Championship courses. Braunton caters well for it's inhabitants with at Tesco store, pubs, good primary and secondary schools, medical centre and a good numbers of shops and stores.

Barnstaple is 6 miles to the east and here there is further shopping at Green Lanes, The Queens' Theatre, North Devon Liesure Centre and out of town shopping at Roundswell. The North Devon Link Road provides access to the M5 motorway at Junction 27. The Tarka train line goes to Exteter and here picks up the direct route to London, Paddington.
